Art Exhibit Marks Dream Come True for Envision Unlimited Artist

We’re thrilled to share that our talented, self-taught artist, Marvin, currently has a solo art exhibit at Intuit Art Museum! Hailing from Chicago’s South Side, he brings the city to life through large-scale, detailed drawings of cityscapes and portraits of residents.

“Art is my hobby, but I really want to sell my work,” said Marvin, whose dream is to be a working artist and display his pieces in galleries and museums. His work has already been featured at the Chicago Cultural Center, Beverly Arts Center and EXPO Chicago, but this marks his first solo show.

According to the National Endowment for the Arts, people with disabilities represent only 7% of artists and arts-related workers in the U.S., which makes this achievement even more meaningful for Marvin and fellow artists with disabilities.

Marvin’s work has also caught the attention of local media outlets, from Block Club Chicago to WGN’s Spotlight Chicago, making him Chicago’s newest celebrity. Join us in congratulating him on his well-deserved achievements and catch his exhibit before Aug. 23!
