Envision Unlimited is thrilled to welcome Theresa Dear as Chief Human Resources Officer. Theresa brings extensive Human Resources experience that will further support our efforts to ensure a best-in-class culture and a workplace of choice. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer at Vivent Health, where she transformed HR into a high-performing, technology-driven, people-focused department across seven states and 18 locations.

Chicago-based nonprofit Envision Unlimited will be hosting a grand opening for its Springfield community mental health center, at 1306 S. Sixth St., Oct. 30. Services offered are geared toward people with mental health challenges and disabilities. The center will accept both Medicaid and Blue Cross patients.

We extend a warm welcome to our new Chief External Affairs Officer, Brandi Adams. She brings nearly two decades of nonprofit leadership experience to her new role, in which she will foster strategic partnerships and strengthen relationships with policymakers, industry leaders and other key stakeholders in the disability community. These efforts will expose Envision Unlimited to a wider audience and further advocate for change for people with disabilities.

Envision Unlimited increased its social impact for people with disabilities in Central Illinois through expansion of supportive housing in late June 2024.
 

Jean Xoubi, Sr. Vice President of Mental Health Services at Envision Unlimited, joins John Landecker on the show to discuss their new Living Room Space, a free alternative to an emergency room visit for those experiencing a mental health crisis. Check out the open house on Wednesday, May 22nd!

Envision Unlimited – a full spectrum of care organization providing services to people with intellectual, developmental and psychiatric disabilities throughout Chicagoland and Central Illinois – has received Quality Assurances Accreditation from CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership.

As I announced in January, Envision Unlimited and UCP Seguin had made a commitment to partner to enhance the services we provide to the disability community. We have not wavered from that commitment. However, as we progressed toward formalizing our partnership, we discovered many benefits to retaining our years-long informal alliance. Consequently, we are not proceeding with our consolidation, as planned.

We are thrilled to share this profile of Envision client Florence O’Donnell – who recently paid off the mortgage on her lakefront condo – and staff members Bettye Dorsey and Donna Ennis, who have supported her along the way.
