A Burgeoning Biking Partnership

May 2024

Our members love sharing their knowledge and passion for cycling. We had the opportunity to collaborate with Northwestern University engineering students, who work with community partners like Envision Unlimited, to create practical solutions for real-world problems. The focus of their project? Improving the usability of tandem bicycles.

Roughly 15 students interviewed our members Anthony, Andre and Matthew about their riding experience as part of our Adaptive Cycling program and observed them in action. As a result, the students created prototypes of modified kickstands and rear handlebars.

We hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful partnership.
