Keith Magnuson Award - Reyanna and member

We’re extending hearty congratulatory wishes to our Frick Center Special Olympics team and coaches for being crowned winners of the 2024 Keith Magnuson Spirit Award.

Named after the former Chicago Blackhawks player, the award is presented to an Illinois team that encourages physical fitness, demonstrates courage, experiences joy and shares gifts, skills and friendship with their families, members of the community and other Illinois Special Olympics athletes.

Our coach, Reyanna Johnson, accepted the award, and our members had the honor of lighting the cauldron to kick off the 56th annual Illinois Special Olympics Spring Games.

“You have worked hard … to provide these life-changing opportunities, and you are always a fierce advocate for all of the Envision clients,” said Chicago Park District Special Olympics administrator Eileen Guinane to Johnson in a congratulatory letter. “You exemplify what this award means.”

We’re very proud of all of our Frick Center team members and coaches.
