Teaching Others to be Inclusive

Our members constantly strive to make the world a more inclusive place. In their latest effort, a group of them led a successful training session at the Art Institute on how new volunteers could make guests with disabilities feel more welcome. They discussed best language practices, why it’s important for people with disabilities to be out in their communities and how to properly communicate with guests who have disabilities.

William, Marcus and Rachel made such an impact that the museum has asked them to lead more training sessions for the rest of the year. We’re proud of these efforts!
