These programs are community-based mental health services for adults with significant mental illness.
Acute Community Treatment (ACT) is a specialized, multi‑disciplinary model where a staff team provides supports for adults with serious mental illness who have a history of frequent hospitalizations or high risk of homelessness. ACT generally represents the most intensive community-based service available before inpatient or residential treatment. Community Support Teams (CST) provide ongoing, individualized support for people with mental health needs who need intensive, coordinated services.
